ILL confusion

Hello everyone-
Just a quick refresher for old and new staff; please read even if you think you know all about ILLs. Sara processes interlibrary loans at Delaware, incoming for all branches except Orange and Outreach and outgoing for all locations. Erin processes incoming interlibrary loans at Orange for Orange and Outreach. All interlibrary loan forms from branches (Powell and Ostrander) should come to Sara at Delaware.

If a package comes in the mail to 84 E. Winter St, it’s supposed to be at 84 E. Winter St. Likewise, if it is addressed to 7171 Gooding Blvd., it is supposed to be at Orange. There is no need to move mailed packages from one branch to another. Please don’t take packages out of the mailroom; if it is not addressed to you personally you shouldn’t be worrying about it.

Also, because ILLs are processed at both Orange and Delaware, some returns will go to Delaware and others to Orange. When you check an ILL in and it says “item belongs at Delaware,” put it in the Delaware crate, or if already at Delaware on Sara’s desk or the bottom shelf of the Search Ohio/Ohio Link return cart. If you check in an ILL and it says “item belongs at Orange” please put the item in the Orange crate or if at Orange put on Erin’s desk. It’s really easy; just like any other checked-in item, simply send it to where the computer tells you. Don’t over think it-simply follow the directions displayed on your screen.

As always, if you have any question please don’t hesitate to call or email me. Thanks! Sara
