COA Summer Festival & World Record Attempt

The Council for Older Adults, in conjunction with their 20th Annual Summer Festival and Pig Roast, is attempting to break a world record for the most pig noses worn in one area. DCDL will be at the event with a booth to Geek the Library. Please check with your supervisor to see if your schedule allows you to work this event on Friday, June 15. We have two shifts (2 – 5 and 5 – 8:30). If you participate, you are also helping with the world record attempt. If you plan on attending at all, you must pre-register in order to be counted for the world record attempt (it is free): http://www.growingolder.org/pignose

As a reminder, staff participating in these sorts of events are compensated for their time. Full-time staff must take time off elsewhere, part-time staff may work up to their maximum allotted hours. Please check with your supervisor if you have questions.
